A nutrition plan that ignores soil pH or compaction is just expensive dust. Our agronomists start with what's limiting yield on each zone, then size the program to that — which sometimes means spending less.

Fall build

Lime, P and K applied variable-rate off fresh grid samples while the ground is open.

Starter

In-furrow or 2×2 starter with the planter, sized to soil temperature and hybrid.

Sidedress

Split nitrogen at V4–V8 with stabilizer, adjusted for rainfall and tissue results.

In-season

Foliar micros and sulfur when tissue testing shows a real deficiency, not a guess.

Nutrition FAQ

Do I need to grid sample every year?

No. A 2.5-acre grid every 3–4 years plus annual zone checks is enough for most Lee County ground. We'll tell you if your variability calls for tighter sampling.

Can you apply what you recommend?

Yes — dry and liquid custom application runs out of the Steward branch, with as-applied maps returned to you.

Do you carry bulk fertilizer?

Yes. Dry blends, liquid nitrogen and starter are stocked locally; specialty and biological products come through Loveland Products.

How do tissue tests change the plan?

Tissue results at V6 and VT tell us whether the plant is actually taking up what the soil test says is there. If not, we adjust the sidedress or foliar pass — or skip it.
